Cranganor History Café & Riverside Château is a riverside hospitality project inspired by the layered history of Kodungallur, one of Kerala’s most significant trading ports of yesteryears. The project draws from the region’s cultural memory, translating stories of trade, travel, and exchange into a contemporary architectural experience. This intimate 10-room resort is arranged to engage closely with the river, landscape, and changing seasons, allowing guests to experience the region in a homely atmosphere. The use of natural artisanal materials and handpicked antique furniture add character and a sense of place. The result is a setting where hospitality, history, and landscape come together in a way that feels rooted, personal, and distinctly Kodungallur.
